Business Benefits
In any Inventory operation, the core of the system is the entry and maintenance of Inventory information. This program allows you to create new Product records as well as change information (e.g., Price, Client, etc.) as required.
Note: CR.70 allows you to import multiple product codes and related attributes from an external spreadsheet file. For other documentation and workflows, see CR - Client Related. See also Non-Standard Billing.
Usage
Use this job to add, change, or delete Products; deletion is only allowed if there are no Inventory balances for any Lot of a Product and Lot activity for such Product has been purged in program IC.11 [Life-to-Date Expired Lots Rept]).
There are three different circumstances in which this program can be used:
- direct entry of a Product through this program to create a new Product or change an existing Product,
- called by program RE.21 [Receipts] and RE.31 [Receipt Invoices] so that the Operator can set up a new Product without having to abandon the Receipt he/she is entering.
- called by program OR.20 [Lots - Maintain / Adjust], so that the Operator can set up a new Product without having to abandon the Lot he is entering.
